Hello folks. I thought I'd start my first post with an idea about democracy and the process of furthering the common good,

Constantly searching for how to express in a practical way the common good, not in some grand way, some grand and absolute way, but in a very comfortable way. So, I propose that my periodic posts will have the grandiose objective of furthering "the common good" as it relates to issues regarding the "environment". I also propose to put forth ideas comfortably, which if I understand JRS' use of the word is meant to connote accessibility to the knowledgeable citizen and not just to policy technocrats/wonks and other "experts" real or feigned.

So ladies and gentlemen please start up your environmentally friendly hybrid SUVs and please do fasten your seatbelts.
